Dream Project is Ongoing!

Hello! The DREAM Project continues!

Reference Number: 2023 -2 – EL01 – KA210 – ADU – 000170360. Digital Readiness Empowering Ambitious Middle-Aged +45 Women Entrepreneurs

This European project aims to use a user-centric learning method with a practical application in real-world examples, providing middle-aged women in Greece and Spain with the digital skills needed. During these last 3 months we have developed the next phase of the project. We planned and organized various focus group sessions. The participants were women of our project target: entrepreneurs, aged 45+, entrepreneurs or businesswomen eager to learn more about digital. We decided how the sessions would run. We made the necessary documentation, presentations and questionnaires.

The main objective?

Know their needs and how the project can help them.
Women represent 50% of the world’s population, and those over 45 years of age are the largest group. After raising their children, they are in the best moment. Empowering women over 45 with the necessary skills is not only vital for their personal and professional growth, but also for enabling them to participate fully in the economy, providing a path to career reinvention, entrepreneurship, and increased financial independence.

The partners

The Balkan Women Coalition and AFAEMME have been creating synergies and working side by side to continue moving forward with the phases of the DREAM project. We have achieved an excellent professional understanding and we coordinate very well to achieve the project objectives together. In the organization of the Focus Groups we discovered how Spanish and Greek entrepreneurs 45+ had similar needs and the project can help them in this important moment of their lives.

The Focus group experience

A FOCUS GROUP is a meeting made up of several targeted people with the objective of discussing a specific topic to learn their opinions, concerns and perceptions as users. The objective of the focus groups organized for the DREAM PROJECT was to collect sufficient information to know the digital women needs and skills, and to prepare the competency curriculum. The sessions were held on different days and times to make it easier for participants to attend. Group interaction encourages the generation of new ideas and the exploration of different points of view.

The focus groups allowed for an in-depth assessment of the participants’ actual digital skills, as well as the identification of key areas requiring improvement. In both countries, we had a total of 22 participants.

The development of the Focus Groups was similar.

In Greece, the specific activity took the form of a debate on each topic to actively involve the participants.
In Spain, an open debate was chosen. Each participant expressed their opinions, and the rest could ask, confirm, comment or refute their point of view. In both countries, the results were satisfactory for the project objectives.
